Not so Guilty Pleasures!

I have so many things I should be doing at the moment.  But like many of us, I got side tracked by something else!  Something that has absolutely nothing to do with my day...
something pretty or funny or eye catching...
something totally random and totally unnecessary...
something I'll now refer to as my
Not so Guilty Pleasures!
And I'll share them here.  I welcome your comments and your list of
Not so Guilty Pleasures too!

One of my favorites is the blog called
and I love it!

MARY KATE OLSEN MK ALL BLACK WALKING NYC NEW YORK CITY HEELS SHORT SUNGLASSES

It's about the Olsen girls.  (You know.. Mary Kate and Ashley)  It's always short and sweet and mostly pictures.

MKA JCPenney People StyleWatch Miss for a Must 1

It shows them crossing the street, getting into a car,
at an event and how to get their look.

It documents their style on an everyday basis... which I really find refreshing.
They are confident in who they are, they are amazing women entrepreneurs and are never "over done" like most celebrity types.

ASHLEY DENIM SHORTS STRIPED CARDIGAN GIVENCHY NIGHTINGALE GOLD WATCH

In a completely random, unknown way, looking at them from time to time strengthens my resolve to stay focused, be myself and
remember not to spend too much time on my outward appearance!
Plus I think they're just so absolutely fabulous!!!  (haha)

Home again...

Wilbur the Pig Greeting Cards - Set of 4

As many of you know, I just attended The Creative Connection Event ... where creative women and women entrepreneurs came together to connect, share and inspire each other onward and upward!
Creative souls from all over the world converged on the Crowne Plaza in St. Paul, Minnesota and shared in an
almost tangible, electric energy that will inspire us for weeks to come.

Charlotte's Web Expect a Miracle Small Quilt or Nap Mat

When it was over, I packed my Jeep full of fun Market finds, free giveaways and my overstuffed luggage and headed home.  It only took a few minutes to realize the fun was over... at least for another year.

Charlottes Web Soldered Bottle - by Hush Sweet Charlotte

My mind wandered over the new friends I had made, the cards I had collected and the shear talent I had encountered.  I glanced at the cars around me and wondered if these were "my people"... a phrase I heard repeated all weekend by so many who had discovered, perhaps for the first time, the emotional high of finding others who think like they think.  I thought of cars and planes going out in all directions filled with these wonderful, creative people.

The Spiders Web - An affordable art photography print - Black and White 8x10

The feeling was bittersweet.  It reminded me of the end of Charlotte's Web... when Wilbur had to say goodbye to all the baby spiders he nurtured for so long.  They had to leave and make their own mark on the world.

The same holds true for this year's event attendees...
we have been nurtured,
sent on our way,
and now it's time to make our own mark on the world!

My Creative Connection

This weekend, I packed up my bright red Jeep and headed off to St. Paul, Minnesota to attend The Creative Connection and have had a blast!
It truly is a place where creative minds get to meet and connect.  The inspiration has been flowing like a river and the vender booths have been a great "icing on the cake" for future Fuss It Up! items!
I've learned how to advance my creative dreams in business and personally...
I've met and chatted with artists and authors I never dreamed I would...
and I have a new vision for the future of Fuss It Up!
Today is the wrap up and I'm so excited to attend the VIP Breakfast featuring Women Entrepreneurs like Kelli Rae Roberts... who I chatted up last night!
After that I'm face to face with the lovely Traci Bautista in a 3 hour creative workshop...
(YAY!)
today, life is grand!
I'll have much more about this conference and it's impact in posts to come.
See you back at Fuss It Up! Designs
Sunday for the Historic Valley Junction Fall Art Market!
